The Challenge

Inviso by Devoteam, a consultancy specializing in IT infrastructure and systems, wanted to strengthen team collaboration and improve inter-team engagement. With 50+ employees, they recognized the importance of avoiding silos and fostering better teamwork. They invited me to design and facilitate an offsite as part of their yearly strategy days, with the focus on creating “Fun & Effective Teams.”

The Goal

The goal of the session was to inspire and equip participants with both new theory and practical methods to build more effective teams. In particular, they wanted to engage team members across different departments to improve collaboration and reduce silos.

The Solution

I designed a tailor-made keynote on complexity and feedback loops in organisations—critical components for building fun and effective teams. This keynote laid the groundwork for the practical exercises that followed.

Throughout the day, I facilitated activities to increase self-awareness and improve team dynamics. One key exercise focused on deepening understanding of team members, which directly contributed to better collaboration. We wrapped up with a feedback session where participants gave and received appreciative feedback, strengthening their relationships.

The Result

The day was not only engaging and fun for the participants, but it also provided them with fresh insights on how to collaborate more effectively within teams, across teams, and even with clients. A survey following the session showed that 100% of participants either agreed or strongly agreed that I made a relevant contribution to the seminar and that the exercises were engaging and useful.

I later learned that some of the exercises have been incorporated into their project kick-off planning, ensuring lasting impact.

Testimonial

“Rasmus successfully designed and facilitated our latest off-site strategy seminar, and his contribution was crucial to the seminar’s success. With an exceptional ability to create a dynamic and engaging environment, we left the seminar with renewed energy, stronger teams, and a clearer understanding of our strategic direction.”
