The Challenge

Hooked, a Copenhagen based restaurant chain, had grown from a single food truck to 9 restaurants and over 100 employees in just 6 years, faced a significant challenge in adapting their processes as they scaled. The leadership team, having worked in a more ad-hoc, instinctive way in the early days, found that this approach no longer worked. The lack of clear roles and responsibilities created unnecessary tension and confusion, leading to an unhealthy work culture.

The Goal

The leadership team sought my help to bring more structure and clarity to the organisation. Their objectives included establishing new ways of working, supporting the leadership team with team development and feedback, and clearly defining roles and responsibilities within the leadership team. They wanted to ensure a smoother, more organized workflow as they scaled further.

The Solution

Over a series of workshops and team development sessions, I helped the leadership team clarify roles and responsibilities and improve their ways of working. The sessions also extended to the line managers in the restaurants to ensure alignment and consistent practices across the organisation. Together, we implemented new rituals and processes to better support decision-making, collaboration, and overall productivity.

The Result

As a result of this work, the leadership team and line managers gained a clearer understanding of their roles and responsibilities, leading to more organized workflows and reduced tensions. The company now operates with more structure, and employees have the freedom to make decisions with greater confidence and clarity. The culture of the leadership team also improved significantly as a result.
